Artist Statment

I am intrigued by the play of light on the natural landscape. I like to search for changing light and its transforming influence on textures, shadows and colors in the environment. I typically work early in the morning, often before sunup, and then again toward the end of the day. But all times of the day can produce fascinating displays of light. I choose to photograph when I sense there many be a moment when the light will reveal something uniquely special about the scene.
